Review on 🚿 Safeguard with Justrite 11078 – Diameter Hoses for Optimal Safety by James Dominick

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Spare parts are still available to restore the excellent gas cartridge like new! - Brilliant!

I got lucky and bought an old metal 5 gallon Justrite gas can at a garage sale for $15. This was only possible because these things are durable and well made. The only problem was that the old hose/nozzle broke right where it exits the metal flange. No problem, the company still exists, is still made in America, and still has parts that can be repaired rather than replaced. I had some concerns that the cylinder's design had changed a bit at some point in the decades since it was made, it may not fit, but it is flexible tubing on a flange and looks the same. Arrived perfectly, took the old one off and put the new one on in 2-3 minutes. It would have been quicker but only had one of the two screws needed. The new bolts were noticeably longer because the gasket that came with it was a nice thick cork gasket, slightly thicker than the old one. Probably because the steel flange is a bit thinner now but is still rock hard. Supplied with hoses of different diameters. From 1 inch, probably good for a 5 gallon can and able to get a lot of liquid through quickly, to 5/8 inch which is good for small cans to fill chainsaws, lawn mowers etc without going too fast and don't spill anything anywhere.
