While reading another review on this cable, the first thing I read was that it properly powers my GARMIN NUVI (bought from Amazon). I would be skeptical, but based on the relatively low price and my GOOD experience with this cable brand, I made my choice. Well I'm very glad I did this because it allowed me to replace a very bulky NUVI to 12 volt adapter with a very simple and short cable that uses a USB connection from an inverter purchased from AMAZON . USES ONLY 1 OF THE 4 USB ADAPTER ON THE INVERTER, less tangled wires and better performance
