Remember the old aluminum poles for your pocket curtains, the ends of which were slide-down metal plates with hooks that screwed into the window frame? This is the perfect upgrade. Only more durable, practical and attractive. For those who want to hang relatively lightweight curtains and don't want or need fancy wooden poles with spikes. The clever design has a mounting plate and screws hidden at each end that curve inward, allowing you to bring the curtains right to the edge. I only downgraded them because it's a little annoying having to unscrew the screw rods on either side of the mounting plates every time you want to take the curtain off. And because if you don't secure them with the attached stem, they won't thread into the ends properly.
