I got this to replace the larger hard case I had. I used my first one mainly for a fountain pen, some ink cartridges and a spare mechanical pencil. I was planning to use it for the same purpose and bought it mainly for its smaller size. It held up pretty well for a while. This is good value for money and keeps all my belongings well protected while tucked into my backpack. Of course, this all came to an end when the zip broke after a month of use, rendering the case essentially unusable. Aa-Lightning is like the Achilles heel of budget things. Conclusion: + Good protection + Compact but functional for carrying several writing instruments - Bad zipper :/
