Living in the Southwest makes it a challenge to maintain the ideal drinking water temperature throughout the day - even if you work indoors. Room-warm water suits me in the winter months. In summer, on the other hand, I like my water ice cold. The thermos is too chunky and clunky for my liking (especially the size I have to lug around to drink water all day). I often freeze liter water bottles and keep them on my desk, but they sweat profusely (even in heavily air-conditioned rooms) and it's a bit messy. So I ordered a set of these 32 ounce jars to try. In general I am very satisfied. If I fill a glass with ice and add water, it takes about 5.5-6 hours in an air conditioned environment for all the ice to melt and after that the water stays a bit cooler. While they're not insulated enough to last a full workday, they're pretty close and I just have to bring a frozen bottle of water to refill them. They're also great for those days when you fall out of the van and just need a barq, even when you know lemonade sucks for you. 8-) I've only been using them for about a week so I can't comment on durability and wear and tear. But so far I've found them to be a good addition to my kitchen essentials. A worthwhile investment.
