There is some real thought put into this blanket and it's clearly made for a day at the beach. Here are a few reasons why.Material - The blanket is made out of an almost silky material. We haven't used it in the sand yet, but it's pretty slippery and I have little doubt the sand will fly right off.Built-In Bag - The bag used to store the blanket is sewed to the blanket.this means there is no way you are going to lose it or get it mixed up with someone else.Tie Downs - The material is super light so I'm pretty confident the wind is going to catch it. Each of the corners has tied downs to place the included stakes to hold it down when you can stake it down.Sand Bags? - There are six little extensions found in the corners and one on each side of the blanket. When I ordered this, I thought they were filled with sand to hold down the blanket. I was wrong, but in a great way! Each of these are deep pockets where you can hide your belongings, keep something out of the sun (like your phone that overheats) or throw some sand in it to hold the blanket down in the wind. I haven't seen this on a blanket before and it makes a ton of sense!Water protector - The blanket comes with a water protector for your phone, which is nice to have. I'm not sure I would be confident enough to submerge my phone while it's in the pouch, but it will definitely help with splashes.Overall, great purchase and I can't wait to use it on my next trip to the beach or park.
