Review on 🏕️ Hiking in Style: Hyke & Byke Yosemite 1 and 2 Person Backpacking Tents with Footprint - Lightweight Two Door Dome Camping Tent by David Barit

I'll start off by purchasing this tent from Revain.com for $79.99 after reading several positive reviews. My first Yosemite 2 ride was in the spring on the AT train from Wind Gap, PA to the Mohican Outdoor Center in New Jersey (2 nights on the road). It rained all three days of our trip. I didn't treat this tent with seam sealer or any other treatment before heading out (not the wisest choice on my part). It rained, sometimes heavily, and we spent both nights on the trail. This tent does not leak at all. Below are some of the pros and cons that I noticed: Pros: The quality of this tent and the martial arts kept us dry in inclement weather. This is a good size tent for 2 people (my son (he's 14) ended up in the tent with me because he was planning to camp in a hammock but the wind and rain changed his plans). 2 anterooms offered us enough space for our backpacks and kept our equipment reasonably dry. Gear bags, rain gear with buckles, aluminum poles, reflective and lightweight tent poles and rails. Hyke and Byke is also a great company with great customer service. Immediately after receiving the tent, I received an email from Daniel, the founder of the company, asking for a review. They also offer a lifetime guarantee. Cons: This tent was 1 pound heavier than the tent I replaced (Kelty Ridgeway 2). I did without the supplied duffel bag and saved some weight there. However, you can reduce the load by using only a rain cover and support. In general, this tent can be matched with many big brand camping tents that cost double and beat them for the same price. I would recommend this tent to anyone who doesn't want to sacrifice comfort for weight savings. Incidentally, due to the quality of this tent, I also chose Hyke and Byke's Antero 15 degree sleeping bag to replace my Mountain Hardware 20 degree sleeping bag. I'll check it out as soon as I get back from my next trip to the AT section (end of August).
