I really wanted to like this product but it's not for everyone. The main reason is that it doesn't close completely depending on the size of your hair styling tools. :/ Pity. My problematic items were: hot tools, a curling iron, and a Conair 1875 hair dryer. Height issues: The nice thing is that you can adjust the height of the basket and lower it so your longer items don't protrude past the closet door. . The only problem is that the closet door doesn't fit the height of your closet when you close it. About half an inch of your door rests on this piece of wood that runs through your closet. When I try to close the door my hot curling irons hit the top of the cabinet so I have to tilt it diagonally to close it completely. Span issues: I'm talking distance when opening and closing a closet door. The only reason I bought this basket was to make it easier to get out and store my hair dryer. Unfortunately, this basket has the most problems with my hair dryer. The handle seems to be too long so it gets stuck when closing the door. I have to point the handle inward to properly close the closet door. Cons: I was hoping this basket would make my life easier and more organized. Unfortunately, after much discussion, I have decided to leave my hair dryer in its original drawer. My husband uses this hair dryer every day and I can't wait for him to carefully position it at the right angle EVERY TIME for a proper seal. And since I know that's not going to happen, and since an open door with a hair dryer sticking out would irritate me more than a tangled mess of cords in a drawer, I decided that this basket couldn't be used for that purpose. You can probably get this basket to work, I found it wasn't worth the hassle if you have to spend the extra time setting everything up every time you use it just to make sure the door closes. In most cases, hair is done in the morning when we are getting ready for work, which means we don't have free time to wrap everything up nicely and put it back in place. I was hoping to find something handy for storing hair tools, but unfortunately you may just need to create something of your own for your home/tools to achieve this.
