Review on ๐Ÿถ Eukanuba Puppy Small Breed Dry Dog Food: Optimal Nutrition for Your Growing Pup (Packaging May Vary) by Bishop Richter

High quality. But it gave my dog โ€‹โ€‹furious gas.

When we bought our puppies (Lhasa/Bichon mix and Lhasa/Poodle mix) we advised them to continue feeding them the food they have been on since weaning. It's quite an expensive meal, so I can't say we were very happy, but we loaded up on food and headed home. I will say this, I used to have small dogs. Never seen such problems with gas. Both had a constant unpleasant smell of gas. Consequent. Usually when they're on our laps, but, you know. These are dogs. After eating the first pack of these things, we bought more from Amazon. It was a great price as we got a ยฃ40 bag for the price of (I think) a ยฃ15 bag at Petco. But they still had gas. I mean they liked the food, don't get me wrong, and they liked it more when we mixed it with water and it was like soft food. Somehow it made their gas worse, but I think I have to give credit to the speed at which they ate - I can't blame the food itself for the gluttony. We ended up changing their food. Fart no more. I think it had to do with the high fat content which is a must for very young puppies. They just need it in their diet. I think we were advised to leave them on for much longer than was reasonable (up to 1 year has been said). Yeah, you've been trying to mess around with gas for so long. At about 6 months we switched to PuppyChow. Much better. Of course they don't like it that much, but we humans like it a lot more.
