Your description needs to be changed. The size of the plate is 9" like a sandwich/lunch plate, not a regular 11" dinner plate. A cup is about 6 ounces, like a cup of tea, not coffee. Otherwise it's AWESOME! Just as cute in person, goes perfectly with my South Beach patterned Corelle dinnerware! I have had many Gibsons over the years, they always felt great, washed great and have held up way too many kids. This is no exception. I highly recommend them. Just not for a traditional dinner. Also, the cereal bowls are exactly the same size as my Corelle and fit perfectly without wobbling.
