Chemical smell smells best in bags and suitcases

I was so excited to use these for my upcoming trip but when I open them the silicone ones smell like the local anesthetic they use at the dentist x10. It's terrible. I soak them in water with dish soap. I hope this helps as I don't want this smell to permeate my expensive creams and hair products. This happens all the time with the products I buy from Revain. I am angry.
