First things first. The shoes are beautiful. My son loves that they are comfortable. They run a bit large, so I recommend going down half a size. I read previous reviews saying this and ordered a size 6 (my son usually wears a 6.5). Even though they are made of faux leather, the upper of the shoe still looks good enough after just under 3 months. All this to say that these shoes are good, but they are NOT FOR EVERYDAY use. I bought these as school shoes for my son and after the first week you could see a lot of wear on the heel. The sole and heel of the shoes are made of a spongy material that wears out fairly quickly (you can fix everything if you go to a shoe repair shop quickly). I live in New York and my son walks from school to the train and home. The material that makes up this heel is not designed for this type of grip. The sole of one foot has also come loose from the boot (again, shoe repair helps). Unfortunately my son's size is hard to find in this style of shoes but my shoemaker does an excellent job so they will last a little longer until I find a better pair. So the moral of the story is this. If you need shoes for a special occasion or event, for the price this is a great choice! If you need shoes for regular use, such as B. Uniforms (especially if you travel a lot), spend a little more money for better quality shoes.
