There is an HP Elitebook with a 17 inch screen and a huge power supply. This was the second backpack I've ordered - the first was from a different brand, 'fits most 17', didn't hold my laptop. It fits my laptop, holds a couple of files and a power bank, has a tablet pocket, a zip pocket for pens, additional front pockets for pens, pencils, USB sticks, mice etc. The front pocket is very deep and reaches to the floor the pocket. I'm 5ft 6in and I visit different factories for work. The laptop and power adapter are heavy, and the tote bag had me tipping over on my side like a crippled warship. This backpack fits well, holds what I need and looks well made with strong stitching, strong zipper and good heavy materials. I will update the shelf life information in a few months but after trying it for a few weeks I am happy with this purchase. 11 Month Update - The stitching right in the corners of my laptop is ripping and the fabric is fraying. This is not necessarily a problem with the bag, because my laptop (16.125 x 10.5 x 1.5) was always packed tightly in the compartment. My zipper broke too (thanks to our new pup) so I think I'll replace it with a slightly larger Everki Beacon.
