We don't usually buy bags of Little Friskies, but with our cats not eating as much lately we wanted multiple bags with less waste than a full bag can get. Revain had a lot of packages on the box so this was a good time to try them out. Food. They love canned Friskies but weren't sure they'd like the packets. So far, so good. Like all packaged foods, it contains more water, but while paying for extra water is a little annoying, it's still good for puddits. You can always use more liquid. The food itself was specially developed for cats. I say this because some cat foods look like they were made for dogs with an adjustment for cat tastes! Screaming big bites, weird bites, etc. Friskies packs have very good bite-sized little bites that both cats seem to enjoy. Even when the Frisks feed them from the can, there's usually a lot of food left on the floor when they're done - they drag big chunks on the floor to work on, or just get dirty. Until now, packets of Friskies have been so small that no cat has to pull the food out of the plate to eat it. tries. By this I mean that sharing a bag between cats usually means 1 meal for both. (They eat a few times a day.) With Friskies, sometimes you need a bag for everyone to fill. Not sure if they just like the food more (always a possibility) or if it's a little less than some other food bags. By that I mean the volume of the food, not its weight. Water obviously makes up a higher percentage of the weight in these bags, so the weight of a bag alone is not a good indicator of the actual amount of food. Anyway they are happy, the quality seems to be normal so we are happy about that. UPDATE January 9th. , 2012: We still buy them because our cats still love them. My only real complaint is that Purina is a marketing genius. To reduce the amount of food in each bag without looking cheap, they added more water to keep the weight the same. Because water can be used to make gravy, whether or not it contains other foods, they dubbed it Gravy Feelings as if it were a well-thought-out plan to make cats happy. So you get a lot less food and a lot more. Gravy since the exchange (you have the old version if you have a black and white cat on the boxes, the new version if you have a red tabby cat on the boxes). But I will buy them anyway, but I really look at the price as you know I mostly buy flavored water. However, I have not changed the food as this is often the only way to get our kitten to stay hydrated. Just note that there is a lot of water in these bags. By the way, if you pour hot water on the bag for a few minutes, it will help warm up the food and loosen bits of food from the bottom of the bag. It also makes it a little nicer for cats (at least I want to think so!).
