Material: as shown, but with an imitation leather effect. It's not as creepy, however, and not as obvious in all black. People won't know these are budget shoes. Fit: My feet and ankles felt very well supported and held in place. I really like this feeling because it gives me confidence when walking. However, I have flat feet and a problematic right toe, so it was too tight for me. If my right sock was typical I would keep it. Toe Fit: This shoe combines foam and a stiff toe fit if that makes sense, while still being very comfortable. Overall I would recommend them for hiking, running, gym. Errands unless you have flat/wide feet. However, you may be ok with increasing the size. I'm only returning mine because I need 11.5 they don't do that 🤷🏽‍♀️.
