Although my kitten was too nervous to run around and use all the space in this carrier, I was glad she had access to a tray and food if she wanted! The carrier was easy to install and fit snugly between the seat back and the passenger side dash so I wasn't worried about it slipping (although I strapped it in place). The only improvement would be if the mat had velcro or some other way to keep it in place, as well as loops inside the mount to attach a bowl of food to it. It took a few tries to figure out how to fold it back up, but once I did it was very easy to put everything back in the bag to store for our next trip!
