If you go to your local auto parts store you will pay at least $100 for a xenon low beam headlight bulb replacement for your BMW X5. I have a 2006 BMW X5 and bought them for $20 a pair. I just replaced a blown bulb and decided to replace both low beam headlights as well. They don't appear to be as bright as the series, but it's hard to tell when looking at them in daylight. However, I prefer the temperature color of these lamps (much more than pure white). If you try to do this exchange yourself, keep in mind that it will take about 2 hours. BMW did a poor job designing their xenon headlights as their replacement is a real bear. However, it's a lot cheaper than the $500 your dealer is asking for the same thing. It just takes a lot of patience, but the money you save can be spent on something more valuable than headlights. Over time if I find they are bright enough at night I will update my review.
