I am using this cooler with an Alienware Area 51 R2 (A51-R2) laptop. The cooler has 2 slots that hold the A51-R2 securely in place so it doesn't slip and slide. The cooler has about a 5-6 percent slope from back to front, which I like - it really makes typing that much more comfortable. There are 4 fans in a row driven directly from the air intake of the A51-R2 cooling system. Finally, the cooler has LED lighting on the back that you can match the color of your laptop's lighting - it's really cool. The cooler works via a USB connection and a power connection. There is a transformer on one end of the power cord, so keep that in mind. The USB port automatically detects the internal temperature of the A51-R2 and adjusts the fan workload accordingly. The fans can also be controlled manually, although you'll extend the life of your fans by using the automatic mode. However, if you choose manual mode, you can adjust the workload of the fans individually or in pairs (external fans are one pair and internal fans are another pair). The software interface is well designed, visually appealing and easy to use. To be honest, I wish the power cord was twice as long, but an extension cord will do just fine. Fans are fans, so they make noise. The volume is very tolerable under low load, but they are quite loud under 100 percent load, although they let a lot of air through the A51-R2. When I received my cooler I had some issues with its fan but Robin from Giryriz customer service was always there to help me get started. They left no stone unturned and conscientiously handled every aspect of what I needed. While one could say that's to be expected, I would say that such a service is hard to come by in today's market and I've made enough purchases from various companies to know that. Just to let everyone know, any of the 4 fans are easy to swap out should anyone have a problem with the fan and Robin from customer service will quickly provide fans and walk you through the process. I bought a used unit as it was available from Revain and I suspect that is why I had problems with mine. But, and I can't say it enough, Robin from customer service was there to make sure I ended up with a perfectly working cooler. Thank you Robin and Giiris.
