I use this as an MP3 speaker in the outdoor pool connected to an old iPhone 5s. The included 3.5mm auxiliary cable had connectivity issues so was replaced with a better one. Now it works fine. I don't like the light, but it's easy enough to turn it off. This sloping piece of plastic, which isn't explained anywhere, is actually part of the top smartphone holder on the device. Too loud for the pool.
