This rope is the cream of the crop. Point. I have been using Titan's Survivor lines for several years now and enjoy the strength, durability and convenience extras woven into the line. For camping and hiking, this is the only cable I carry with me. With the introduction of the third generation of the Type IV 750 SurvivorCord XT, Titan has really raised the bar for this type of cable. In February I picked up a 100 foot skein of this new line. and my 5 month review is as follows: - The 110lb Kevlar line makes a great chop saw and is a fantastic multi-purpose line. I could spend half a day listing the things I've used it for. I really like the dark green braided line, compared to the previous mono which was in the previous generation of SurvivorCord, I was really able to use it as a dental floss after catching and filleting a nice perch caught with a line on a pole was cut from a strong pole of cane stalks, using the friction saw method mentioned above. Waxed jute gives good tinder when needed. The red and white thread is useful for marking branches for orientation or to help with tracking. The last two things I want to mention are that 1.) I was concerned that SurvivorCord would be a bit stiff but found out Titan replaced the 30 AWG wire with Kevlar and by switching from monofilament to braided line is actually more flexible than the previous generation SurvivorCord. Most paracords will mold, break from constant exposure to the sun, or just rot - it's not that, my friend. To test the Titan's claims, I used some thread to tie together a simple tripod that was constantly exposed to the 24x7 conditions mentioned above. within four months (at the time of writing this review) and I see no signs of mold, loosening or deterioration! Personally, I hope they can eventually create other colors like reflective orange for outdoor camping, coyote or dessert tan, red, and gunmetal gray, all of which they offered in the previous generation of SurvivorCord. I hope this review has helped people in their search for the best. This cable has everything that Titan claims and more. I will continue to use this latest SurvivorCord XT cable as my go-to cable. โ€“ Karl Barst.
