Old-fashioned beauty but short-lived
Beautiful, intricate details that are pleasing to the eye. But now, four months later, it's broken. When I turn the handle, the spring gets tensioned, but when I release the handle, the spring quickly returns to its original position. Some small mechanism preventing the spring from unwinding must be broken. This clock has just sat ticking on my dresser (and manually wound by me daily) since I bought it, so it's certainly not been mistreated.
