These headphones may have a quality control issue. The first pair I got sounded all over the place and the hi-hats sounded like mashed potatoes with almost zero clarity. Somewhere in the middle was a frequency that sounded erratic every time it was played. It seemed like it was only in the left ear no matter which earbud was attached to the left side. I tried everything to see if it was me, my source files, my source device, or headphones. After speaking to Revain, they discovered that the headphones were defective (new in a sealed box). This is Revain's second pair and there is a big difference between them. They are worth their selling price when they work properly. Moto G5 phone: The quality is really good depending on the file I'm playing. Files purchased digitally from Revain and Google are of the best quality. The homemade ripped MP3s I created over 15 years ago are hit or miss. I may have to copy them again using modern copy software. Second addition Nexus 7: like Moto G5iPhone SE: other files I play. Dell XPS 6570: Sound controls need to be configured as the default settings are off. I disabled the equalizer which was on by default and the sound is good. Again, it depends on what files I'm playing and where I got them from. By enabling spatial by right-clicking the volume on the taskbar next to the clock in the lower-right corner, Windows Sonic for Headphones can make certain music sound better. First class fit and finish. The braided cable is quite cool and soft to the touch. Squeezing the braided cable in the middle makes a pop, but just walking around with the cable touching your clothing I didn't notice a sound from it. I think the cable should be a few inches longer. I'm 1.88 m tall and I put my phone in my back pocket with the headphone jack facing up. The earplugs seem to be good. My right ear is smaller than my left. I need to fix an issue where my right ear won't pop out. I listened to them with caution because they are monitors and I believe they should allow for more than just regular headphones and instead of asking why it sounds different I was wondering if I just wasn't hearing what was in mine car or my home stereo both sound good, home stereo has a much better resolution. I switched to Deadmau5 to listen carefully. This guy is very attentive to detail and doubts he'd get anything done with anyone. So I used the Deadmau5 (purchased digitally) as a sound quality benchmark (as my 15 year old copied music probably wasn't a good base). My last pair of headphones was the Yamaha EPH-50, which I've really liked for the past 6 years. ars or so until one side has given up.
