This very minimalistic adapter is just what you need if you want, for example, a webcam (which probably has a ¼-inch tripod mount) on a mic stand or flexible arm (whatever ) have ⅚" x 27tpi threads). Its threads are a bit tight and you may find it difficult to screw it all the way onto the mic stand, but it WILL move and SHOULD stay there. The smooth surface makes tightening difficult , but there are other similar adapters with a knurled or grooved surface, and the advantage of a smooth surface is that it's also difficult to insert the adapter in. So not ideal, but COMPLETELY worth the money.
