Sink mats are difficult to keep clean. If you wash something with tomato sauce or other dyes, the carpets will stain: Anything greasy that washes off the carpets in the sink will make them greasy. To clean these substances, a degreaser or a washcloth was required. I'm used to just rinsing sinks with dish soap and keeping them clean; Not so with these carpets.
