Good product for money and work!

I bought this diffuser for my wireless flashes (Canon 430 EX II and YN-560 III) and have been using it for 1 year now. It diffuses the strobe light well and is good for indoor events, parties or anywhere a strobe is required. There are a few things you need to do to fix some of the reported issues: Inside the diffuser is a second diffuser screen that attaches to the first with Velcro. Pages. Unpack and cap the strobe before mounting so you have two diffuser shields, one in front of the strobe and one on the outside of the frame. Use with a single diffuser screen will produce a sharp white spot on the subject - take bamboo grill skewers (1/4 inch round) and cut into 7 inch lengths. Then pin them into the fabric on each side (starting at the top where the seam is open). Slide them all the way down to the front panel. This will keep the box in shape and prevent it from bursting. Once you've completed both of the above steps, just keep going. This is a great softbox for the money. It would be nice to include instructions for a second diffuser screen as it is counterintuitive. It also took me some time to come up with the skewers idea so perhaps the manufacturer will find and offer a similar solution in the future.

Pros
  • Useful not only for its intended purpose
Cons
  • I have doubts
