I have risers on the legs of the bed so the bed is not flush with the wall. It's a huge problem because things keep falling into the abyss, like my remote control and dogs. It's hard enough to hold its shape but soft enough to fit in the gap. And it definitely gained a lot of volume after unpacking. I "flipped" it so the bottom is flush with the height of my mattress. Dogs can sleep on the bumper, which greatly increases the space of my bed.
