Here are the actual dimensions of what I received. The seat (flat) edge-to-edge is 18.5 inches by 15 inches, but here's the thing. They are simply pieces of canvas with the edges folded over and then sewn in place. (This is not laser precision engineering) Edge to edge measurements are misleading. What you need to look at is the center of the dowel to the center of the other dowel. This is easily measured against the chair you already have. This size is 17.75 inches on the canvas I received. But my chair is actually 19.5 inches, so it's too small. (My friends' chairs are the same size as mine, and they were completely different purchases.) The next consideration is the backrest. Flat sheet measuring 20" x 6". However, remember that small diameter dowels will be held in the seat tarpaulin. The vertical wooden posts that hold the backrest are much larger in diameter. A 20 inch flat lay is very different from the length you have to work with once you've stretched the canvas over the thick posts. The center of the hole that slides across the wood posts to the other center is 18" on the product I received. The chair could accommodate 19 to 21 inches. (I could have bent into those posts.) So again, not enough and I'll return it. I like the canvas material. Looks pretty strong. Most often it is a double stitch. Looks good too, Made in China. That explains why they converted inches to cm with two decimal places.
