For me there is no better bag!

I definitely love this bag! This is the first bag I've switched to after using an old Nike bag for about 8 years. I am quite meticulous when shopping for groceries, especially since my purchases usually serve their purpose for a long time. However, I actually searched the internet to find this. I've spent hours looking for bags in stores and online. When I came across Thule, it was a turning point. Simply put, their brand has every feature I could ever imagine in a bag; They just don't fit in a bag. What I was looking for in a bag was pretty specific: multiple compartments: I carry books, bike kits/skate tools, two frisbees, sportswear/shoes, and many other items. The Nike bag contained everything but not very organized. Secure laptop compartment: I do a lot. I need to make sure my bag can protect my Macbook when I fall off my board/bike at high speed. Deep cup holders on BOTH sides: I longboard, bike, and play frisbee several times a week. I need. Water. Lots of everything. Multiple Attachment Points: I always carry a hard case for my VModa headphones. It always hung on the bottom zipper of my Nike bag. Shockproof Compartment: I wear sunglasses that go over my prescription glasses. You are tall. I can't just throw them in another compartment. Waterproof: I often get caught in the rain when driving. It doesn't need to be sheltered from the rain; just endure a few drops now and then. Ergonomic design: simple. It should be comfortable. Simply put, most of the features I needed were packed into this bag. It really came down to this bag and the RSS OGIO Renegade. Ha ha, it's a beast. There were just a few moments missing that were crucial for me. To be honest, one of those things are the deep cup holders. It hadn't even been a month since I bought this bag, I lost a bottle of Smartshake Protein that I hadn't even had in two weeks, simply because the cup holders on the Nike bag were too low to hold it that safely to hold as I leaned forward to sit at the kiosk. in the cafe. The cup holders on almost EVERY Thule bag are ridiculously deep and flexible. Drink holders aside, the Enroute Escort 2's shockproof case outperformed the competition, particularly the OGIO Renegade RSS for its size. My sunglasses are huge and I have a Galaxy Note 3. Admittedly, the Renegade's rugged case was stronger and even in a more secure location, but if it didn't match what I needed to protect, then no. Speaking of size, Escort 2 appears to be larger. The Renegade RSS laptop compartment was the tank of the laptop compartment and was so secure it was mentioned in the bag's name. The responsive suspension system easily keeps your laptop in your pocket should it fall. The only problem is that it keeps its shape because it's very reliable. I couldn't fit anything thicker than a laptop inside. I liked that my Nike bag could be expanded to the point where I couldn't tell which compartment was the main compartment. Because of this, the Escort has more space than the Renegade. Having said that, I have to say that after unpacking my Nike bag and putting it in the Escort 2, I felt my Nike bag was more spacious. I quickly realized this was because the Escort had horizontal compartments that organized the contents of the bag; In a Nike bag everything was only in two compartments. The only downside I could think of is that the bag feels cramped due to its horizontal organization. I can feel it popping out of my back a little more than I want it to. The straps on the sides of the bag help keep it compressed, but this can be an issue if you have items on the bottom of the main compartment. They are often difficult to reach without undoing the harness. Although I can't complain because if I need something I can reach it without taking off my bag because everything is so neatly sorted. Not to mention that it's very easy to lead someone to an item in my bag if I can't physically get to it myself.

Pros
  • Luggage and travel essentials
Cons
  • Very expensive
