Convenient and good integration, but a BIG warning

Well first. The app is easy to use and there are many good integrations with Fitbit, Samsung, Google etc. I can automatically track the results for many different apps for further analysis. Setup was relatively easy, although it's tricky if you have a mesh network and don't have a choice of 5GHz or 2.4. I had to do it the low-tech way and take the scale outside of the 5GHz band, which I'll admit was a ridiculous sight when I saw a guy standing on the scale outside trying to use it to connect to Wi-Fi. But it worked, so here it is. Now the worst. Look at the body fat percentage on the left. Look at the body fat percentage on the right. They were recorded on the same day. . On the right is a Dexa scan. DEXA is considered the gold standard for body scanning and is only used by professionals. I decided to get scanned because I couldn't figure out the inconsistencies in the numbers. Your body fat percentage shouldn't change by 0.5% just because you went to the bathroom or drank some water. And I didn't feel like I had 20% body fat on a relatively lean body. I lost 15 pounds and that was only 2% body fat. At this rate, I would need to lose an additional 3% body fat to reach "Fit" level. Would I have to weigh around 145 pounds to be considered healthy? Like a 43 year old man? It was wrong. I did a dexa scan and lo and behold I was 12.8% body fat. Not only is it a huge difference, it's a dangerous difference when I'm frantically dieting and trying to hit a number I'm already well below. It's not a bad scale, and it's helped me track trends over time. I've also heard that all home scales have the same problem, so there's no better place. But I urge you, DO NOT use this as a difficult number to follow. You may injure yourself doing this. Get a DEXA scan and match it to the scale.
