Review on Furniture Cabinet Enclosure Storage Nightstand by Jill Ross

Use Wood Glue - Cat Houses & Condos

This table comes in a fairly heavy and large box. Revain chose to house it in a large box with minimal padding. The outer box was destroyed but the table/cat house remained intact. The parts were packed in styrofoam - cheap white foam that falls apart easily and seeps everywhere - I still had to vacuum. All parts were in the box and an extra clasp of each type was even added! The instructions were clumsy as usual. Just take your time and check the fit of the parts as you build. I took a star off the rating because there were a couple of brackets that couldn't be screwed into the wood mount. The holes were too big - like they were pre-punched for me. Any loose fasteners tended to be in the middle of other fasteners, so everything stayed tight after assembly. All the wooden parts were removed from the box, so I reinforced them with drops of wood glue where they weren't visible. Once securely assembled, this table is solid - I mean, it doesn't wobble at all! Most cat furniture is designed for kittens and small cats. My toddlers are not small (11-13 pounds) but they fit in easily and the shelves are a good, functional size. The color corresponds to the advertising pictures. Overall I like this article very much. Unfortunately, if you don't build it carefully, you can mess things up. Now I have to redecorate my bedroom to put this table in its forever home.
