I have had this container set for 3 years now and never had a problem. I go to them several times a week. In two big ones I have flour and sugar. Yes, a 5 pound bag of flour is fine! Before purchasing I had metal canisters and needed to store excess flour and sugar that didn't fit. It was very annoying. Keep in mind that the additional air can cause the flour to puff up as you pour it in. If you find it doesn't fit, just touch the container and it will settle. I also have a pancake mix in one and we use it weekly. My kids have no problem using these containers and everything has been kept fresh. I'm actually writing this review because I need a few more containers so I can organize my pantry, which has been great and I wanted others to know!
