I jumped in and bought 2 pairs black and silver pairs because they were cheap enough. As you can see from the photos they are not closed rings and depending on the size of your fingers they can sit more like shields than rings (my middle finger is ring size 12-12.5). I think this is normal from an aesthetic and functional point of view. The material is very light and flexes quite easily, allowing me to adjust them by hand. You just have to figure out *how* to customize them. Bend at the knuckles first so they don't fall apart on you, then adjust the ring section to fit. Make a small adjustment and make sure all sections of the joint are set to work together. If they fall apart, simply snap them together and tighten, then hone your fitting technique while expanding again. They're all the same size, but I've managed to get them to work well enough for four different sized fingers. I'm glad I was able to get the ones that work for me on the first try because so many rings of this type seem to be closed/unadjustable even for very small fingers.
