Very disappointed. Bought this for my techphobic 85 year old mother who has hearing and vision problems. The phone was fine for the first month, but yesterday it just stopped working normally. I've tried resetting it, changing the batteries, switching to a different phone jack, and even checking the line. Nothing solved the problem. The dial tone is barely audible, it constantly hisses and crackles. Mom was so excited because she was practically cut off from the world for two days until I could turn off the "new" phone system and reinstall her old one. Technology is difficult to master and, quite frankly, it scares many older people. She was just getting used to the new ones before the base unit crashed. And now I have to work with the manufacturer to try and get a refund since I'm out of the Revain window. I feel guilty for causing this episode to my mother.
