Exactly what I wanted. This is a good, simple, and affordable camera system that does NOT require Wi-Fi, a router, or the internet to work. Setup is easy, camera is good, monitor is good, video recording works as expected. Night vision is decent, motion detection works but not at very long ranges, and audio (one or two directions) is good. After downloading the app on your phone and connecting the monitor to your router, you can view the camera remotely. Remote camera view results depend on the quality of your internet connection on both ends (camera side and cellphone side). Please understand that this is a simple camera system. Image quality is average and features are adequate but somewhat limited. If you are looking for a high quality multifunctional video system, then this is not it! But if you're looking for a decent camera system with reasonable functionality, I highly recommend this product. In this price range, I don't think you can do much better. **Quick update** I have owned the product for six months now. It is in constant use 24/7. A power supply stopped working. I contacted the company via email and they responded quickly (less than 12 hours) and sent me a replacement. no problem no questions Things break, that's life, but that kind of quality customer service makes a product stronger. very satisfied!
