The pattern was a little crazier than expected but I got used to it. Overall I am not happy with my purchase. The pillowcases were damaged as soon as the packaging was opened. They weren't sewn to the end. We've had the set for two months and it's already gone bad. Machine wash and dry not safe. It's abs easy on everything. I can't even wear my wedding rings to bed without getting hooked. When we then dried it in our dryer after washing on low heat which you must do as it smells horrible out of the box when you get it it has melted into a stain on the duvet in the dryer. I would NOT recommend this set and wish I could just go to a department store instead of buying it. Don't spend a lot of money. On the plus side, it fits well in a large double bed.
