Crappy cheap cable good for ethernet cable

I unfortunately bought it and sent it to my parents house long before I got there to help them with some network issues. Well 3 months later I'm finally here and this cable is complete bullshit. Unfortunately I cannot return it as it is currently outside the return window. First, although the outer coating is thick, I assume there may be wires inside. 30 gauge? Maybe even less? The body around them is thin and flexible. This is not a sturdy cable, if you squeeze the cable between your viewfinders you can see that there is a lot of empty space inside the outer casing. If you plug it into anything, regardless of the device, 9 times out of 10 it will only connect at 100 bits, indicating something is wrong with the 8 pairs in the cable or connector. (100Base-T only uses 4 of the 8 wires in an Ethernet cable. Gigabit and faster use all 8). Sometimes it connects at gigabit speed, however when I disconnect and reconnect multiple times it is very strange. I could just cut off the ends and plug in my own connectors to see if that fixes the problem, but given the thin wires inside I don't know if I could even rewire them. I would like to say that this is almost certainly a multi-core CCA cable. AVOID! Spend a few bucks more and buy a reputable brand of cable.
