My wife and I loved the look and finish of the jewelry box when we took it out of the shipping box. This is intended as a gift for our daughter to use on the dresser. I want to add an image. The top cover hinge is made of brass with tiny brass screws already fully extracted from the cherry wood body (actually pressed pulp/imitation wood). The lid screws still held the other side of the hinge. The hook strip for the necklace on the left was also glued crookedly. So I went to Lowes and bought some (one size) bigger/longer brass screws and superglue. I put glue on each original hole and on the "tree" where the hinge sits and quickly screwed in new longer screws. I added some glue under the edge of the other side of the hinge where it meets the lid. I then carefully peeled off the backing of the hook, added some superglue and reattached it. I didn't care but would return it to the store if I could. Repair was easier than sending it back. Other than that, it's an attractive box that actually resembles the full-size box we have at home. The boxes worked perfectly, there were no discernible defects. The manufacturer must at least use longer screws.
