This dog door has a 4 piece door system that has lasted about 6 weeks. The 2 main valves are still in good condition but my dog tore the side split valves to pieces. Because of the way they were made, the gaps kept falling off my dog going in and out. I got tired of putting them back on so I used washers to hold them in place. After I put the washers in, they didn't come loose but ripped into pieces. I have to buy a new dog door because the gaps next to the valves don't keep the cold air in. As soon as we have a cold front, cold air blows in. The idea sounded great and I like the thin frame but I need something that will better support an active 75 lb dog.
