Assembly instructions (pictures) are easy to understand. There are 8 screws, 4 black and 4 silver. The black ones were longer, I used them for the seat and base. NOT CORRECT! The silver screws are too short to mount the back panel. Now, when assembling all the furniture, always hand tighten the nuts and bolts until fully seated, then tighten. Well, 4 silver screws are so cheap that the heads snap off the first time force is applied. You cannot properly tighten the 4 screws that attach the seat to the base. My suggestion: Take a screw from the hardware store and buy 4 high-quality screws that don't break off the first time you use force.
