voice activation; useful when watching a loved one

What I like about this baby monitor: 1. The audio is pretty good - a family member can talk to this camera in another room and I can hear what the family member is saying though some of the words are muffled when the family member is a short distance from the camera. 2. Video looks very good in light. In low light/night the video has a decent resolution allowing us to see what's going on in the room. By pressing the pan and tilt button on the parent unit, I can then press the up/down/right/left buttons to remotely move the camera (up, down, right, left) around different areas of the room and to see a family member.3. I like it when the parent unit screen is off and the baby unit has sound, the screen turns on and we can see and talk to a family member in another room.5. The user manual has good illustrations and detailed information that helped us learn how to use the features. It took us a while to get used to the details and operation of this product, but it was worth it.6. the baby unit is connected to the parent unit.7. Since this is not a wireless connection, it cannot be hacked. We've read news articles where hackers manage to break into a video product and then talk through the camera. It's scary.8. The power supply cord is 97 inches (or 8 feet, 1 inch) long. What can be improved: 1. There is no way to mount the baby unit on the wall. I have a different brand baby unit that we placed high up on the wall so we can see multiple areas of the room at once.2. The charging port on the baby unit is located next to the temperature sensor. I would have preferred to keep the temperature sensor separate from the power supply to minimize interference. Overall I find this baby monitor useful for our needs.
