4 stars overall as I haven't had time to test them in their steps but they seem to fit the bill. My primary use was to "plug in" the empty mic port on the back of the HF radio (the mic plugs into the remote head port, not the radio itself). Dustballs always seem to attack the back of your hardware, I guess out of shyness ;) The first one I installed is a bit annoying when inserted, but once it feels solid and flush with the surrounding port, which is good. I would say they are perfect for securing ports that you rarely use. must never be used. If you need something that you access frequently, I would think that at some point they will lose their "stopping" ability if they are constantly being inserted and removed. Great for ham radios with all RJ45 jacks nowadays. Definitely recommend to anyone who wants to at least protect these connectors on their "packable" radios. Now I need to connect all unused ethernet ports on my PCs ;)
