My son wrote this because his feet are at their worst RENPHO Heated Foot Massager Day 1 - Evening (Day 1, before bed). It took time to learn the system. Tried different programs, "High" with low heat seemed the most effective (heating is an issue with no air conditioning in the house). Not sure about the timing or cycles, have switched several times and tried different compression, heat and "boot" adjustments. Mostly a test run. The system is really cumbersome. *Note: Use the bathroom BEFORE putting on the device! Day 2 - AM; 2-20 min cycles at high speed. The edema of the foot and lower leg decreased, but not the ankle (edema increased slightly, but disappeared after 30 minutes). I think I understood what is suitable to download and what program to use. Running in tight boots at maximum compression and low heat works best for PM; The edema is especially strong, I did cycles of 3-20 minutes, the edema decreased significantly. Day 3 - Morning: Cycles of 2-20 minutes. Helped all lower legs except ankles. I think it needs an ankle section. The fluid appears to pool up the legs under pressure, but leaves a pocket around the ankle. Evening: Cycles 3-20 min. There was "tingling" pain in foot; better after compression. Day 4 - AM; 3-20min cycles. The swelling was particularly severe on waking. 3 courses helped a lot. Midday; 1-20min cycle. I felt a lot of pressure in my legs. Lag 45 minutes, ran 1-20s. PM helped a lot: cycle 3-20 min. I'm not sure what happened to the left leg swelling today, but the device helped reduce it. Day 5 - Morning: Cycle 2-20 minutes. The day before I had "jet lag" in my left leg. The morning cycle helped and reduced swelling in the ankles. Evening: cycle 4-20 minutes. The first cycle hurt a bit. used light sockets 2nd and 3rd c. Felt better, used a heavy cycle for the last 20 minutes. Day 6 - in the morning; 3-20min cycle. Helped a lot of PM; Cycle 1-20 minutes. Day 7 - Morning: Cycle 1-20 minutes. Same results as before. I had to work late afternoon before leaving I gave a cycle of 1-20 minutes. Helped walk. In the evening he fell, twisted his ankle and injured his back. Temporarily discontinued use. Day 7, 8, 9 - out with ankle sprain and swelling. Day 10 - Morning session, cycles 2-20 minutes. The compression helped, apart from the swelling around the ankle (as expected). With new compression stockings, the effect of the compression seems to last longer (tested at midday), session in the afternoon, cycle 1-20 minutes. * Wear a compression stocking. The swelling was minimal from the start thanks to the compression stockings, the machine helped to reduce it more. Day 11 - AM; 1-20 minute cycle for honey. Switched to high in the middle of the evening: cycle 2-20 mins. Day 12 - cycle 1-20 mins. Slept in compression stockings and it only took one cycle to get rid of the swelling. (to be continued) GENERAL IMPRESSIONS: It takes a little effort to understand this system. It's bulky and you'd better go to the toilet before putting it on. otherwise you walk like Darth Vader, lugging hoses and a control box behind you. There are plenty of programs and options to choose from (single sections, intensity, heat), but I found it best to just pinch it, press the power, then select "High". to me. I usually do 2-20 minute cycles to see noticeable results, but some days I run one on Medium and the other on High (sometimes 3rd). Very helpful in the morning before getting up and then at night before bed when the legs are most swollen. A complaint; There is no compression around the ankles so while your feet and lower legs are fine, there may be swelling around the ankles which is sometimes a bit worse. . or just make a 4 piece system. A week later I started using compression stockings in combination with compression therapy. it worked wonderfully! The device reduces swelling, and socks prolong the effect. Overall I would give it a 9-1/2 out of 10. It WORKS, except for the area around the ankle, and it's a little bulky and clunky (as to be expected with a device like this). However, the pros outweigh any small cons and I have included this very useful gadget in my daily diet both upon waking and before bed. This is a really useful and beneficial system that is helping me control a growing health issue. I will continue to use it daily in combination with compression stockings to improve my general calf and foot issues.
