If it works, it's very good. It's been working fine for 18 months and now the right stick moves up and the left stick jumps when used to navigate the Xbox menu. I've tried various methods to setup and erase the controller and none of them worked. I'm the only user and I usually play every day. I'm an adult and I don't scatter the controller, my hands are clean and I keep food and drink away from it. It has never been dropped, thrown, tossed or thrown across the room. I know a little about electronics and electrical components and there is NO ZERO reason for something like this to wear out over that period of time. Microsoft could spend 50 cents to a dollar more on stick-on resistive components to ensure they stay clean and have a very long lifespan. But they don't because they know we'll always need a controller. They know we're not going to throw away the Xbox and all our games because they decided to make a controller that won't last. They see us as scammers and another source of income. As if Xbox Live revenue wasn't enough. This is one of the small reasons people are starting to realize that big companies are nothing to glorify or respect, but rather manipulators and thieves who have no purpose other than finding new ways to get into our wallets . We can fight this, but we must stop putting companies and their leaders on pedestals and instead treat them with skepticism and contempt until they start behaving more ethically. Oh, and we need to get the crap out of them until they find out.
