Metal sugar bowls with wooden lids and spoons like this one are the best idea to keep the sugar from getting wet. I never noticed that the difference in how dry the sugar stays in this bowl compared to ceramic and glass is striking. I have it on the kitchen shelf at my beach house where the normal humidity is over 90 and the sugar stays dry. I highly recommend this product and I hope I never buy a ceramic or glass sugar bowl again.
