Yes, they are thin and some of them may be broken or short in some boxes. But for the price I think they're good enough. I haven't found any with rough edges. Designed to be used once and thrown away, they are made from bamboo so there is never a shortage of them. They are long enough to use in my 18oz. Tea glass with ice. My cutlery set only has 8 teaspoons, so I didn't want to use stainless steel spoons just to stir the coffee. They can also be used to test your cake to see if it's done in the middle. For this I used a toothpick, but its length was not enough to reach the bottom. I keep a few of these in a pretty candle holder on my kitchen table.
