Full layout and dimensions

This bag is full of ideas. I like the strap at the bottom of the laptop bag which keeps the laptop off the bottom of the backpack and together with the padding provides good protection. The bag is big enough too. I can fit my old 17" MacBook Pro in it, although it's so narrow at the top when the zip is closed it probably wouldn't be a good idea to use this backpack for that. It should be more than big enough for a regular 15". There are plenty of pockets, including a couple of padded ones suitable for tablets and phones. There's no phone-sized pocket inside, there are a couple of similarly sized, partially lined pockets that slope down into a large pocket on the front of the pack, and the main interior compartment has an unlined, fleece-lined sunglass pocket at the top that can accommodate a mobile phone. All of these pockets have cable access when you put the battery in. The outside side pockets confuse me. The openings are so narrow that it's difficult to get anything in and out, especially when the main compartment of the backpack is full. Pack detaches. 100% polyester fabric with water-repellent lining. External dimensions (moderately packed) and padding: 12-1/2" wide (excluding side pockets which can add a few more inches when full) - 19" high c - 8 inches. Front to Back The back is lined with breathable mesh over soft padding over rigid foam. Straps Adjustable 2-3/4" wide shoulder straps with breathable mesh on bottom, 1/4" foam padding inside. The adjustable chest strap can be moved up and down about 6 inches. Laptop compartment All interior pockets open upwards unless otherwise noted. The laptop compartment on the back of the backpack has its own external zipper with two pull tabs. It is padded all around, mostly quilted, except for about an inch along the zipper. Internal measurements: just under 11 inches wide at the bottom, just over 11 inches wide at the halfway point at the top and 16-1/2 rounded top to bottom in the center, but a few inches smaller in the center. on the sides due to the rounded top corners. Approximately 1 inch of space front to back, narrowing at the bottom in a few places. The 17 inch MBP I fitted shows the maximum it can hold. This MBP measures 15-1/2" x 10-1/2" x just under 1". Medium Tablet Pockets: Two overlapping, padded, flat pockets are located on the front of the laptop compartment. They start about 3" from the front bottom of compartment and are 8-3/4" wide. The exterior is 9-3/4" top to bottom on one side, with a slope at the top that slopes down about 1" on the other side. Interior 10-5/8" top to bottom. Major subject. The main compartment of the backpack has an external zipper with two pull tabs. -- 4-1/4" front to back until it begins to taper with the zipper approximately 3" at the top - Just over 11" wide at the seams, slightly wider than the seams when packaged - 19 Inches top to bottom in center, with rounded corners at top The laptop compartment is separated by a layer of fabric-covered foam. It's also padded underneath, but not Large tablet pocket: There's a flat, padded pocket on the back of the main compartment , which covers the entire width of 11" and is 13-1/4" high from the bottom of the package.Sunglasses Pocket: On the outside of the compartment (the side away from the back) is a flat zippered pocket lined with soft fleece, on the bottom is Measures 8-1/2 in, 10" in center, and zipper opens to 8-3/4". Detachable bag: 11-1/2" wide, 5" tall, 1-5/8". " deep at the bottom, tapering to the top with a zippered pocket battery pocket: there is a flat e, unlined pouch for a battery pack starts at the bottom and rises 7" tall and is 4" wide, with a 1-1/2" wide Velcro strap covering the top. Other pockets, all on the left side, one on top to fit in the laptop compartment, one a few inches above the battery pocket to access the outer side pocket, one a few inches forward to access the lower middle outer pocket, and one above to access the top center exterior pocket. Cable hooks: There are two plastic cable hooks, one on the top left front and the other on the back left a few inches above the battery compartment. one that opens 9-1/4 inches. Inside is a 10" wide x 11-1/4" high flat compartment with three pockets. A pocket on the back of the compartment is the same size as the compartment. It has a zipper just below the outer zipper. Two more pockets are sewn onto this pocket, one on top of the other, which are obviously intended for mobile phones. They are quilted on the outside, open on the right side, measure 5" tall by just under 6" wide, and drop approximately 1-1/2" from the opening. The left corner of the portion of the compartment that houses the padded pockets located to access the battery, which you place in the main compartment.Top Pocket: Directly above the middle compartment is a pocket that follows the zippered edges of the main compartment on three sides, 11-1/2" wide at bottom, 6- 3/4" tall with rounded top corners and fabric trim letting in about 1-1/2 deep.
