At this point, I'm on my fourth koss porta pro. Once donated, twice broken. Every time I've made a transaction, I've been completely satisfied. In my opinion, there is no such thing as the greatest headphones for gamers. There isn't much I can say that is negative about these headphones: they sound amazing, they fit well, and I've gotten them twice for 990r while they were on sale. The lack of soundproofing is the only real downside, in my opinion. However, I was only able to enjoy the music with open headphones after acquiring a koss porta pro. In a separate note, I'd like to draw attention to the KOSS Porta Pro 25th Anniversary headphones. That's the situation where alterations caused more harm than good. The anniversary headphones, which came at a premium price, were so flimsy that they snapped within a month. They are worse after repair than the initial design. The headphones have been criticized for their design in comparison to the original models.
