Review on πŸ”Š Mount-It! MI-1214 Speaker Stands - Enhance Your Home Theater with Surround Sound System Mounts, 2 Pairs, 10 lb Capacity, Black by Russ Mashlan

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Definitely don't buy these shelves.

Installation was easy, but the moment I assembled the stands with each speaker installed, I knew I had made a purchase mistake. Of course, the negative reviews didn't stop me from buying it. My motivation was the low price of the 4x racks. In this case I even paid less than I paid. To be clear, the coasters are flimsy and flimsy. The lock nut designed to hold the rod's height is so brittle that over-tightening the nut will strip it from the threads. Plus, the base is so narrow that a light squeeze can turn off your speakers. This is a problem for those with pets and children who will almost certainly run over them. I noted on the surface of the carpet that they were sure to fall off at some point. Eventually I was sent a pair, not two pairs as advertised. It may have been an accidental execution issue, but it caused me some trouble when trying to get the stands back. My final verdict: skip this one. Don't waste time considering them as a potential option for your speakers. They are NOT secure enough to protect your speaker investment. Instead, I went with the VideoSecu stands, which while they don't feel premium, feel very solid and get the job done.

Pros
  • Height-adjustable stand from 26.8" (680mm) to 43.3" (1100mm) to place speakers at the optimal height for stereo or surround sound. The thick cranked steel post has an integrated cable channel for a cable management system through the center of the stand.
Cons
  • Available in black only
