It remains transparent and does not become opaque
I was hoping for white ink to be opaque but even stamping multiple times wouldn't quite make it quite opaque so I had to use an alternative method - hot stamping with white embossing powder. Unfortunately this was my seventh other ink pad I've bought to have an opaque stamp image and I'll give up my search and just stick with the embossing instead.
