I wanted the backpack to hold up to 2 liters of water and comfortably carry a light jacket, my phone, keys and a snack/lunch but I wanted it to be small enough to do it easy short (2-3 hours) hikes. This backpack meets my criteria perfectly. It's incredibly light and very comfortable - stretches everywhere and has REALLY handy pockets. I easily fit my iPhone XR in my vest pocket. MARVELOUS.
